I've noticed for some time now, the Time Zone Skype is displaying for Taiwan is not correct!
It appears to be set at -8 hours GMT when it should be +8 hours GMT!
If I'm correct can I have a reward of some free credit
Well it was worth a try lol! ![]()
Plus the Feedback option which I tried before cominghear isn't working. It says I don't have an internet connection...!

but actually, in my opinion, it is much better to have Skype display the time you have set on the computer you are using, in which case Skype doesn't change anything

Thanx Neil for the reply.
No I wasn't referring to my time offset. I'll try and clarify a little.
I'm in London GMT +1 of course right now.
I have a few contacts but the only one showing a time, city and country is for Taiwan!
That's the only one I would like to show the correct time for, the others don't show a time and I don't need them to right now. I'm 99% sure the time is set for the Taiwan contact incorrectly in their profile!
My profile settings were set to my computers time etc. I've tried changing it to GMT and GMT+ 2 and 4 hours etc but that makes no difference to the Taiwan contacts displayed time! Thought I would give that a try on the off chance!
I assume I have no control over the displayed contacts time and perhaps it has been set by them incorrectly under their profile hence their offset shows -8 where it should show +8 hours GMT for myself?
But really, shouldn't Skype be doing a little legwork here and displaying my contacts local time based on their numbers etc unless they override in their profiles! And then an option(s) to control the display of that info under Tools-Options.
I would like to set my contacts time manually, that would save me working out when I can and can't call international contacts!
Can someone test this. If you set your time zone incorrectly under your profile will it then display on your friends Skype app incorrectly if you don't set it private of course?
Thanx for any info.

if all your contacts correctly set their local time, then you can easily tell when it is a good time to call
I agree that this contact has set their time incorrectly in their profile (or has some reason for it to be set as you see) and all you can do is suggest that they change it

Thanx Neil.
How can I suggest a feature request for Skype?
As per my 2nd point "Plus the Feedback option which I tried before coming hear isn't working. It says I don't have an internet connection...!"
I've tried using it before so I don't think this is a one off error!
Thanx.
