TEST LADY FAILS FOR NEW SKYPE USER

New to Skype, after loading software and contacts I was ready to test Skype. I call test call I hear the ladies voice for 3-5 seconds and bang a box stating both Mic. and speakers not working! Help

What settings do you have for Microphone and Speakers in Tools -> Options -> Audio settings?
