Skype wont work

my skype is starting to act up everytime i sign in & start messaging someone or doing something a pop up shows and says Skype has stoped working. Need help ASAP

mine is doing the same thing its been doing this for a week now and i need help ASAP also! to bad i was about to get the paid one but if this is how it is then there lucky its free

Do you see any animated ads (videos) playing in your Home page?

Uninstall the current version of Skype, then reinstall the new Skype 5.7 beta version. See if it helps.

Download Skype 5.7 Beta for Windows:

If not resolve this issue, then

Please do a Skype reset:

1. Ensure that "Show hidden files and folders" is switched on.

Click Start and then Run Type "control folders" and click OK. In the View tab, ensure that Show hidden files and folders is enabled

2. Exit Skype : From the system tray >> right click on the skype icon and click "Quit Skype"

3. Click Start >> Run Type: %appdata% Rename folder "Skype" to "Old_Skype".

4. Re-run Skype

Check if the issue persists.
