Skype won't connect

My skype won't connect I have uninstalled and reinstalled skype tallest 5 times. I don't know what else to do. Help!!!

Same here... has been doing this for a little over week. Normally get error saying, "all ready logged into Skype from this computer" and occasionally, "can not connect. Contact administrator or support."
However, friend suggested I create another profile on pc and try logging in... **bleep** THING WORKED.
*edited*!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
Why can't I log in from my main, and now ONLY, profile on my computer????????

Quit Skype. Go to Windows Start and in the Search/Run box type %appdata%\skype, press Enter or OK button. In the File Explorer window, that will pop-up, locate folder with your Skype user name (the one which is not working). Rename this folder to something different. Restart Skype and login again with your first account.

Hey I tried you suggestion too. It still comes up as Skype cant connect. Trouble seems to have started from when Skype 5.8.0.158 downloaded itself. Any other suggestions out there?

Open Task Manager and look in the Processes tab. End any Skype processes you find there. Then try the reset procedure ruwim described above.

Can't you browse websites in Internet Explorer? What do you see if you open this link in IE: https://apps.skype.com/home/
Note: For this test it has to be Internet Explorer, even if you don't use IE as your usual browser.
What anti-virus / firewall are you running?

Hi,
You have Norton antivirus installed on your system, Uninstall the Antivirus and Skype.
Remove the folder skype from %appdata%.
Reinstall skype older verison from http://www.oldapps.com/skype.ph Choose Skype 5.5.0.119 .
Login to skype with your default Id, it will work.
