Skype version is 6.0.60.120.

Version of Windows is 64-bit.

I got IE9 on my computer... but I'm not using it.

When I open the page it says:

JavaScript   IS WORKING   in your web browser

Your web browser supports JavaScript version 1.8
Your web browser is Firefox version 16.0

Try this.

a) Click Start.
b) In the search box type cmd
c) Right click and select Run as administrator
d) Type the following commands and press ENTER.

cd\
cd windows\SysWOW64
regsvr32 jscript.dll
regsvr32 jscript9.dll
regsvr32 vbscript.dll

Restart your PC.

Now try running Skype.

If still not resolves this issue,

try LegacyLogin

Testing JavaScript with Firefox makes no sense in the case of Skype. Skype depends on Internet Explorer.

Go to Windows Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> Right click on Command Prompt, select 'Run as administrator'.

The Command Prompt window should show:

C:\Windows\SysWoW64>

If this is not the case, then in the Command Prompt type:  cd c:\windows\syswow64 and press Enter.

Type this and then press Enter:

regsvr32  jscript.dll

Next type this and press Enter:

regsvr32  jscript9.dll

After each Enter you should receive a message saying that DllRegisterServer in XXX.dll succeeded.

Reboot your computer.

Make now the test showing if your Internet Explorer can execute JavaScript.

Open in your Internet Explorer (no other browser but only IE 32-bit version) this page:

http://www.mistered.us/test/alert.shtml

Click on the “Simply Click This Button” button and watch the response.

Try disabling Script Debugging in IE with this FixIT

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/822521

You can also do it manually,

Click Start >> Run >> Type iexplore.exe

In IE, Click Tools >> Options >>Advanced >> Browsing

Mark/Check Disable Script Debugging (Internet Explorer and Disable Script Debugging (Other)
