Skype launch problems

So I've been searching this support network for solutions for my problem, without any luck so far. I've been trying to install Skype for a few days now with different versions and so on. I've tried beta,update versions and so on.I have no AV turned on, and tried it with windows FW turned off.

I simply cannot launch Skype after install. In my folder after installation I can find a "desktop.ini" and a folder named Phone with the Skype.exe file.

When the installation ends it says sometimes that the .exe file is corrupt, and some other times it doesnt happend anything.

I can see application errors in my event viewe:

What Internet Security software do you have installed? Maybe some kind of key-logger, parental control or similar? See this:

At the moment I have Microsoft Security Essentials.

Unfortunately, “the old thread” is no longer accessible, because the old Skype forum is now closed and all threads been removed. The contents can only be accessed using Google cache, but is hard to read

However, was your error message actually the same, i.e. “Unfortunately the Skype executable is corrupted”?

Tried the suggestions in those replies. Been closing all but the essenstial processes, reinstall skype but same corrupt executable error(even tried to install in offline mode).

I have feeling that there's something silly blocking Skype. This laptop is 2 weeks old, and there's no virus,keylogging program as far as I can tell.

If you open this folder on your computer

 C:\Program Files (x86)\Skype\Phone\

and then double click on the Skype.exe file, what happens then?

I get the corrupted exe error, please reinstall(with the combability mode off. If I turn the combability mode on "wiindows 7" then the error doesnt show up, just wont launch.

I solved it! I run intel i5 core processor with integrated grapichs(which I cant turn off in bios or anything) and a Nvidia GT555 videocard. What I had to do is to right click Skype and set it to run with the Intel intergrated grapichs.

So if there's anyone else having new intel processor with the new intel intergrated grapichs, aswell with another grapichs card, they may try this.

There may be some configurations in the nvidia control panel to allow skype.

Actually, no Compatibility mode should be selected for Skype.

You have excluded any key-logger or similar, but what about some debugging software?

Just in order to exclude this possibility: Start Windows System Configuration (msconfig.exe). Go to the Boot tab -> Advanced options. Make sure that no options are selected there, especially the “Debug” option.
