Skype keeps closing once I log on

I am having issues since Friday being able to click on contact or rooms I am in.  When I click on someones name or room skype closes.  The only way I was able to fix it was reformatting my system and now it is doing it again and I don't want to spend another 4 hours doing the same.  I use Win7 home professional 64 bit

Mine is doing the same,  but I'm able to log on on my iPad2.

When I log onto skype it says the Skpe home page isn't available.

Its a crash bug and the ads bug. You can either download the beta 5.7 or wat id do is wait till they fix it

Same here. Mine says "skype has stopped working". Had no issues until today. My daughter is having no problems. I have windows7 home premium, and so does she.

Yep, same here since Friday. Uninstalled, Re-downloaded, Re-installed. Checked for updates... it either crashes as soo as it opens or once I get a call.

This is super frustrating. My skype was working fine then it said i needed to update it , so i did. now it dosent work. ugh
