Hi there,
I don't want to imply anything, but after Skype was purchased by Microsoft, Skype is ignoring settings: Privacy->History->No history.
Skype keeps saving chat history for at least a day. But it seems to be varying for different users in my list: for some chat histroy is stored for a day, for some even longer. I didn't track how long history can be kept, because I continiously deleting it by Privacy->History->Clear history.
Any ideas how can I make Skype follows its settings and delete history when it is launched?
Skype version 5.10.66.116, running on Windows Home Basic (32 bit) Russian. Computer isturned off in the evening and turned on in the morning. So each time Skype is launched during system startup.

I've spent many efforts on removing Skype from system completely (including tracking Skype all over the registry). It seems Microsoft does everything to make Skype "natural part of Windows" just like Internet Explorer. ![]()
But it didn't help. After re-install I still have the same problem. Skype just ignores this setting and keeps IM history.
