Skype has stopped working.

I have tried everything, and whenever I open skype it logs in and says
"Skype has stopped working

A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is possible"

I tried other fixes found on the forum, but nothing has seemed to work. I need help

Updating the driver may resolve the issue. If not, then just delete the dll file.

Re: Skype has stopped working.

Open Windows Event Viewer -> Custom Views -> Administrative Events. Look for any recent error messages with timestamp corresponding to Skype crash. Copy and paste here the text from the General tab.

If it helps at all: Skype always worked fine for me, it just randomly stopped working out of the blue for no reason (at least that I can remember)

Re: Skype has stopped working.

Try to unregister nvdxgiwrap.dll

a)     Click Start.

b)     In the search box type cmd

c)     Right click on cmd and select Run as administrator.

d)     Type the following commands and press ENTER.

cd\

cd windows\SysWOW64

cd C:\Program Files (x86)\NVIDIA Corporation\CoProcManager\

regsvr32.exe /u nvdxgiwrap.dll

Restart your PC.

Now try running Skype.

Tamim

Your problem is with the nVidia driver. Try to reinstall/update this driver. See also this:

Re: Skype has stopped working.

It keeps telling me that it can't find the specified location, even though I can get to it manually.

Sorry, I can't see the attached picture.

Have you typed cd C:\Program Files (x86)\NVIDIA Corporation\CoProcManager\ in the command prompt and then press enter?

Have you tried first to update your nVidia driver?

Re: Skype has stopped working.

Thanks, I just had to hit enter.

Now I'm getting this error:

Regsvr32

The module "nvdxigiwrap.dll" was loaded but the entry-point DllUnregisterServer was not found.

Make sure that "nvdxgiwrap.dll" is a valid DLL or OCX file and than try again.

Can I just delete the dll from the directory you gave me?

Re: Skype has stopped working.

My internet is a bit slow, I'm updating the NVidia driver as I'm doing this.
