Skype doesn't detect any video source

I am using android phone camera as webcam through MJPEG software... Flash can detect all video sources without any problems (for example: dxtory, xsplit broadcaster, MPJEG), but skype can't see any of these... Is it because skype can detect only official hardware cameras that are listed in device list? If I am not mistaken these "software" video stream sources used to work with skype.

I guess i'll just use manycam, btw "IP Webcam" app for android works well, but it can connect only by wi-fi. 320x240, 55% quality, 30 FPS - smooth

Ok, manycam has turned out as an unuseable option. Although the app is installed correctly, whenever i try to bring up tray icon menu or app interface it just doesn't react at all... Only shutting it through taskmanager works... I am quite disappointed with skype at the moment... I wonder if i'll be able to find some old version of skype that supported every video source.

Re: Skype doesn't detect any video source

Hmmmm I am also having a problem with manycam my friend. I use the desktop version of both skype and manycam and have them fully updated as well and I get nothing from using the " ManyCam Virtuak Webcam " source and before I updated the program it was working fine. So now for me if there is some way to fix this problem with the connection of manycam 4.0 to the latest skype I would love to know.

P.S, I have a snapshot from using the new version of manycam with my webcam to get a snap of whats being said with the source for skype so it is seen what I am getting with it.

Re: Skype doesn't detect any video source

@MasterAlucard, ManyCam should work with Skype. Are you sure that ManyCam as well doesn't have your camera opened? The problem that you are experiencing can happen when one video stream is already present, for example ManyCam, then another cannot start due to USB 2.0 bandwidth limitation where camera simply cannot stream two VGA streams through USB pipe.

Please try to either plug to a different USB hug, preferrably USB 3.0, or trying to close ManyCam stream while you are using Skype.

If you think it is related to the latest Skype version, you can try with the previous versions:
