Skype crashes constantly

i don't know why but everytime i reinstalled skype it was always the 5.6 but the link to 5.7 resolved everything, thanks!!

This seems to have worked for me. Running Windows 7. Reinstalling Skype 5.5 didn't do it, but 5.7beta did

Apparently the 5.7 beta is only for Mac.  I have Windows and Skype crashes EVERY TIME I start it.  Any ideas?

I too can say "I've had no problems whatsoever for years now!" but tonight my only wish is to run out from the apartment & take a flight from the 1th possible window frame. . .

try to close all browsers like firefox, opera, etc and your skype. Log back in and try calling.

<y skype program keeps crashing on iMac. No apparent reason for that. It's always worked fine before. Can you please assist me? I use Skype a lot for work and have a paid subscription running.
Over the years I have spent hunderds of euros on the service. 

After spending several hours deleting files from the libarary and following the clean reinstallation instructions with the latest version of Skype for Max I followed the recommended procedure and  now provided a folder with logs of the constant crashes  I get everytime I try and launch Skype on my iMac on which I'm running version 10.8.3 of OSX. These are the details of the iMac

Installing skype version 4.2 (pre microsoft version) on my win7 pc was the only solution to the constantly crashing problem on my computer.

Skype have become usless crap after microsoft took over. Skype is now completely usless on my MacBook pro and Iphone, the pc version is vorking for now as long as version 4.2 of skype is still supported...

having exactly the same problem with skype crashing on notebook and android phone..Only for my ID though, my friends's IDs work perfecftly on same devices..no support from Skype suppoort team whatsoever..!!!
