Skype Update not working ?

Secunia PSI tells me Skype 5.5.0.124 should be updated.

However, when I click on "Check for Updates", in the Skype "Help" menu, I get a message saying that I already have the latest version of Skype installed.

On the other hand, if I download Skype, I get a file "SkypeSetup.exe", with version 5.8.0.154. Furthermore I can see this file (version 5.8.0.154) available for download from several other sites.

What is wrong with Skype's update feature?

The auto-update feature has been erratic for a while.  If you have the installer for 5.8.0.154, it is indeed the current version.  I suggest you go ahead and install it.

What are the advantages of the "business version" over the normal version?

The business version doesn't auto update and doesn't have Facebook integration.
