Skype Sign in page blank

Hi, i have downloaded skype 5.10; the download happens but after the installation all i get is a blank skype page wherin i can see nothing else other than the logo... i was earlier having an old skype version wherein i could enter my username and password... but with this download i can just see a blue rectangular page with the logo.

i tried uninstall and reinstall after disabling the anti virus but the same problem persits. please help

The problem is with your Internet Explorer and JavaScript.

Please, answer first these questions:

What version of Windows are you on? Is it 32-bit or 64-bit?

What is the version of Internet Explorer installed on your computer?

In Internet Explorer go to Help -> About Internet Explorer.

P.S. Please, don’t say that you are not using Internet Explorer. This is irrelevant. Skype depends on Internet Explorer.

Here are the answers, iam on 32 bit

i have internet explorer 9

i have also downloaded and installed the latest Java script download available..

Unfortunately inspite of these i am still getting the same problem, the page does not show me the username and password dialogue box is absolutely blank...

Go to Windows Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> Right click on Command Prompt, select 'Run as administrator'.

The Command Prompt window should show:

C:\Windows\System32>

If this is not the case, then in the Command Prompt type:  cd c:\windows\system32 and press Enter.

Type this and then press Enter:

regsvr32  jscript.dll

Next type this and press Enter:

regsvr32  jscript9.dll

After each Enter you should receive a message saying that DllRegisterServer in XXX.dll succeeded.

Reboot your computer.

Make now the test showing if your Internet Explorer can execute JavaScript.

Open in your Internet Explorer (no other browser but only IE) this page:

http://www.mistered.us/test/alert.shtml

Click on the “Simply Click This Button” button and watch the response.

No is not working.

I do not understand SKYPE that is rediculus instead of doing all this it wil be better to reinstall and although i do it the same problem.

Finally i do not understan why the user is tortured with that problem.
