Try to uninstall the currently installed version and install the 6.9.0.106 version using this msi-installer:

http://download.skype.com/msi/SkypeSetup_6.9.0.106.msi

After installing this version, make sure to disable the Automatic updates:

Tools -> Options -> Advanced -> Automatic updates ->Turn off automatic updates

Check Log then post it here.

Open Event Viewer -> Custom Views -> Administrative Events. Look for any error messages with timestamp corresponding to Skype crash. Copy and paste here the text from the General tab.

also Try to reset Skype settings(Windows 7 & 8, & Mac):

For Windows 7:

1. Sign out from Skype Client.
2. Press and hold Windows key then press R key.
3. Type %appdata% in the Run box, then press Enter.
4. Find Skype Folder and rename it to Skype_Old (check Roaming folder if u can't find it).

For Windows 8:

1. Sign out from Skype Client.
2. Open a folder and use this path C:\Documents and
Settings\your_windows8_username\Application Data\
or C:\Users\your_windows_username\AppData\Roaming\
3. Find Skype folder and rename it into Skype_Old
4. Sign in to Skype.

For Mac:

1. Sign out from Skype Client.
2. Open Finder, choose Go > Go To Folder…
3. In the dialog box type ~/Library/Application Support/ then click Go.
4. Look for Skype folder and rename it into Skype_Old
5. Sign in to Skype again.
