Alright, I give up. I've been all through Google, tried every X and Y solution I could, but nothing works. My problem is every time I open skype, it immediately crashes. It was working fine, I had a call going for hours, decided to shut down skype. I wanted to start it back up again, but now it crashes everytime no matter what I do. If this issue cannot be resolved, I will just reinstall my entire OS.
Issue: Skype crashes immediately upon opening
Solutions Tried:
- Reinstalling
- Deleting AppData
- Cleaning Registry
- Changing Compatibility
- Completely Cleaning Skype Off My PC and Reinstalling
- Installing Really Old Versions Of Skype (ie. ver. 4.0)
- Installing 5.7 Beta
- Installing Portable Skype
- Changing DEP to Work With All Programs Except Skype
- Changing Firewall Settings
- Restarting, Reinstalling, Rebooting
- Deleted config.xml
- Deleted shared.xml
- Reinstalled Flash Player
- Installed Latest Flash Player
- Completely Wiped Flash Player and Reinstalled
- Checking Internet Explorer Settings
- Dumping All Cache and Temp Files
- And Every Single Combination of the Above
