Skype Home unavailable

On my laptop, I get message "Skype Home unavailable at the moment" .  But my other computer does not get that message. It connects just fine. 

I shut down Skype on both computers and still get the message on my laptop when I start Skype.. 

My internet connection is working fine on my laptop.

Check to see if your invisible or offline. It'll be right next to your name in the right hand corner if the icon is not fully green, that means your offline. Simply just change it to the online, and it should be fine.

any idea why it says "Skype cant connect"?

Online/Offline setting is inactive. Does NOT work for me. Problem only STARTED when I let Skype update my version. Now I can not even get Account... information. Dead in the water. How do I get back to the older working version???

What happens when you are trying to SIGNIN to Skype?
Did you receive any error code / messages?
