Is your own connection status on Skype ”Online”? The status icon (the one left of your name) must be solid green with a white checkmark inside. Try to change the status using the dropdown arrow next to this icon.
having same problem.. seems like this has been problem for some time .. this is a new computer.. with w7.. while I have had problems on another w7 laptop.. it usually clears after a few minutes of clicking on the 'home' icon.. I pay for this skype service.. I don't expect bugs like this to persist for years without explanation.. this is 2012 and I see posts on this issue going back years.. does anyone have any definitive information.. is there anyone with skype techinical or do users simply fend for themselves? very unprofessional for a PAY service... Jay
Hi I have the same problem - is this to do with the skype update there seems to be alot of us with this non-connection - please can you give uncomplicated instructions to rectify - i'm just a user with not alot of tech expertise !!!! thanks
