Skype Freezes when I talk to a Specific Person.. (Video Example Included) [ Edited ]

This problem only started recently, basically what is happening is whenever I type and then send a message to one specific person, skype freezes up for a second or two then comes back. It's quite annoying since it's to a person who I talk to nearly everyday.. 

I'm hoping there's a fix for this as it's just so annoying, i've also provided a video to show what happens. 

"I type, press enter.. (freezes up).. (unfreezes)" x2 

to show the lag.

try to Reset Internet Explorer settings.

try to delete temporary internet files

try to reset skype settings

Exit Skype : From the system tray >> right click on the skype icon and click "Quit Skype"

Click Start >> Run Type: %appdata% Rename folder "Skype" to "Old_Skype"

Re-run Skype

You will need your password to re-log on, and re-set any options from default

Quick question before I do so, what does this do? Will  it delete chat history at all?

No, resetting skype will not delete any data. You can find your data in the "Old_Skype" folder.

You can make a backup by following the instructions below:

The default folder that Skype looks for pictures is %AppData%\Skype\Pictures

and file that Skype looks for conversation is %AppData%\Skype\SkypeUserName\main.db 

Quit Skype.

Go to Windows Start and in the Search/Run box type %appdata%\skype, press Enter.

Copy pictures folder.
Open the folder with the name of your Skype account. Copy main.db file.

After resetting, transfer the pictures folder and main.db file to on same location.

Hi, I was hoping maybe you could help. I've looked at other threads you've helped in and done everything I could find you suggested. I deleted the appdata, I renamed the Skype folder, I reset my Internet Explorer history and settings, I disabled everything that Norton Internet security will allow me to disable and I've reinstalled Skype twice prior to all those other things. :-/ I have Norton Internet Security as stated before but that is all. Hope you can help thanks!

Have you tried to disable Norton Firewall?
