its started yesterday for me as well... i uninstalled and resinstalled yesterday and it seemed to be fine till about noon today and its doing it again. this time ive uninstalled and reinstalled twice and its not fixing it now ugh -_-. I use skype all the time its really gonna drive meh nuts if i lose this program.

I have also tried the various "fixes" recommended by skype and others.  Nothing has worked.  As soon as I try to make a video call, 2 seconds after it connects skype crashes.

Here is a possible fix;

1. Close Skype.
2. Type or enter C:\Users\project-D\AppData\Roaming\skype in the Run command, then click Ok.
3. Look for and delete the file namedShared.XML (a fresh copy of the shared.xml file will be recreated when you login, the previous one may be corrupted causing Skype not to run properly).
4. Restart your computer.

Download the latest 5.7 Beta version and it should fix your problem

I am using the BETA and I still get Skype crash as soon as I boot (just around the time the contacts load and the Skype home is about to load).

I've tried deleting the Shared.xml etc to no avail.
