Skype Can't Connect Me

Everytime i bring up my skype program i log in and the blue circle spins for about 20 seconds. Then highlighted in yellow it comes up with, Skype can't connect. I have tried re-installing it, and fidiling with my internet options. My firewall is completly off and i dont use a proxy server i use a ADSL connection and i dont have a wireless router. I SERIOUSLY HAVE TRIED EVERYTHING! SOMEONE PLEASE HELP! i wish there was a skype customer support number i could call

Me two, or three or four here.    I have installed and uninstalled.   Have downloaded it several times.  Have tried some of the solutions I have found in the support section here.  Nothing has helped.    I also right clicked the icon and tried the "troubleshooting compatability" section.   When it finished all it said was that I had an incompatable application.    What does that mean and how do I fix it?    I have been working on this for 2 days now and if I did not need this for a new work program, I would give up and say the heck with Skype!!

ya same problem here..whenever i used to sign in it came like upgrade ur skype..and finally one day i upgraded my skype n now m suffering..its not connecting..i tried my usename password..again n again..uninstalled it downloaded it several tyms but again the same sign SKYPE CNT CONNECT..m fedup..plz can anyone give me a solution..

SOLUTION:: download the 5.5.0.124 version of skype from OldApps.com..its not the latest version but atleast its working..I tried it and it works..!!!!!

Hello, I have problem to connect to SKYPE, but only on mobile phones!! Simply loading comes to half way and than stops. I try with every phone on this world, an it's the same! There is no
problem with my account on PC or MAC, just on mobile. TNX

I have the same problem! I just got a new Samsung laptop. I have Norton and the regular Windows firewall. I tried deactivating my firewalls, but it didn't help.
