Skype 6.5 has stopped working (Windows 7)

[ Edited ]

I just updated Windows 7 through Windows Installer, and I tried to open Skype again, and it keeps saying it's stopped working.  I tried turning my laptop on and off again, as well as updating Skype, and even uninstalling/reinstalling it, but I'm still having problems!  All of my friends are on Skype and it's the only IM client I use, so I really need to get it working again ASAP.  Help me!

Go to, C:\Program Files (x86)\NVIDIA Corporation\CoProcManager folder and rename the nvdxgiwrap.dll to Old_nvdxgiwrap.dll.

Re: Skype has stopped working (Windows 7)

Please post event viewer log in your very next reply.

Click Start >> Run >> Type eventvwr.msc /s
Custom Views >> Administrative Events
Look for any error message related to Skype crash.

Tamim

Re: Skype has stopped working (Windows 7)

Okay Tamim, I've renamed it.  Is there anything else I need to do?

Thanks, in advance.
