There is something wrong with newest Skype (6.1.129) MSI package. Upgrade from older versions is not working. I Tested upgrade from 6.0.120 and 6.0.126.
When i try to upgrade my installation i get this error:
Uninstalling old version first is not option for me.
But you have to clean your existing installation from Windows installer database list.
Try removing the Skype program entries using Windows Installer CleanUp Utility (msicuu2.exe), perform all the steps with Admin rights...(Run as administrator)
msicuu2.exe Download Link:
Then try to install again.

Before MSI packages upgrading function has worked. Example: 6.0.120 to 6.0.126 upgraded nicely.
I am doing large scale company deployment. If upgrade don't work i have first to do uninstall job and after that i can start deploying new version. With upgrade function i need only create install job and that will take care of removing old and installing new version.
I think someone who has created skypes MSI package should comment this.
