Skype 5.9 video NOT working

Unfortunately, today I updated from 5.8.0.158 and my webcam video stopped working! Microphone and camera are working ok but video goes around in circles in the box. Connected to my laptop, still with 5.8 version- everything works fine.

Question - WHY do skype put out untested programmes for customers to download? It is deplorable, I lost today 4 hours of work because of this.  Lots of people complain about your 5.9 version. When are you going to remedy this???

Have you been looking for update of your webcam drivers?

If your webcam is an external USB webcam then try to unplug it and then re-plug again or even plug into different USB port.

Thank you but I tried EVERYTHING and it didn't work. In the end I reverted computer to a week before, have now skype 5.5 and it's all working just fine. I have contacted webcam manufacturer and spent 1 hr on the phone to them. It became evident that the problem was with skype 5.9 and NOT the webcam. I do think that skype people do not test it enough before releasing it to the public. I hope someone from skype will be reading this!!!!
