Hi everyone, here's the summary of the problem:
- Double click Skype icon on desktop.
- Skype screen pops out still loading.
- Don't even see the login screen.
- A window pops up saying: Skype has stopped. Windows is collecting more info about the problem. This might take several minutes...
- Second window pops up with files that help desbribe the problem.

The problem seems to be related to your Internet Explorer.
Make the test showing if your Internet Explorer can execute JavaScript.
Open in your Internet Explorer (no other browser but only IE 32-bit version) this page:
http://www.mistered.us/test/alert.shtml
Click on the “Simply Click This Button” button and watch the response.
P.S. Please, don’t say that you are not using Internet Explorer. This is irrelevant. Skype depends on Internet Explorer.

- Double click IE
- IE loading homepage.
- Not even finished loading homepage a window pops up saying: IE has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. WIndows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.
Any ideas how to get this fixed?
Thanks!

Internet Explorer is crucial for Skype. Try to reinstall your IE9.

July 3th 2012, this happens to me:
After the last update several days ago:
When starting Skype, there is a big conflict. After very long waiting, Skype starts.
Closing even crashes the system. MS/Skype, please check the update before sending it.
How can I get the old version back, this worked wonderful, please advise.
Many thanks in advance,
Erik

I'm having the same problem as well... I start up Skype, try to login, and it just hangs. Not sure if it ever gets to signon, I'll try and wait an hour or two and see what happens.
