SKYPE CRASHING RIGHT AFTER LOGGING IN

I'm having the same problem.  Skyp was working fine yesterday, so I'm not sure what is going on.  While crashing, it give me a message telling me that Windows is having a problem with Skype and that I will be notified with a solution.

I have re-installed Skype, but that did not help fix the problem.  Please help!!

Many of u said u couldn't download the link cause there was a breakage in this link so I am re-posting it--If u read many of the posts concerning this skype crashing issue it has been recommended that u install the latest version of skype that includes adding ur facebook friends to ur contact list and it works-I can now IM message AND also video chat with all my contacts-I have tested it after the installation and it works fine-See other posts recommending this fix-I myself have windows 7-64 bit-heres the updated link(so sorry my original link had a breakage and couldnt be opened)http://www.skype.com/intl/en/get-skype/on-your-computer/windows/beta/     THIS IS THE BETA 5.7 DOWNLOAD

Whether my party calls me for a videp connection or I call him, the connection is made, but almost immediately breaks. My internet connection is good with a strong signal, and we are doing nothing different than we ever have.

 I see others have the same problem. How about a response to codynyc@hotmail.com ASAP, please.

Same here it just started crashing today and I have the latest version. Not even a call being made simply clicking on someone and the whole program says it is messed up and checking for a solution then shuts down. Worthless today so not sure what is going on. Seems that there also is no support for Skype anymore after Microsoft purchased it.

Continues to be a problem.  I already sent feedback to the Skype team.  No reply...

The beta does seem to fix it and work. It has not crashed yet

Yep, having the same problem here. For me it started late last night (around 9 PST) with some message about a missing/corrupt .dll file. I looked into it to no avail...and now Skype just crashes instantly after I've logged in. It's weird though, a friend of mine over in The Netherlands is having no trouble with Skype crashing. Hope this gets fixed soon.

Me too. I re-downloaded as was suggested, but still not working - since yesterday!

I'm having the same problem.  I don't know if I'm happy it's not just me...  You are all right, it is EXTREMELY annoying.  Let's see how quickly they get on this issue.  That's the real test.
