First and foremost--CLOSE all Skype windows you have open.
Look at the taskbar that runs across the bottom of your computer screen. You should see a little green Skype icon. It looks like a diagonal cloud shape with a white checkmark in the middle of it. Double click on it as if you were going to make a phone call.
The window that pops up should have a picture of a keypad on it for dialing phone numbers. Across the top of this window you will see menus running from left to right that read, "Skype" "Contacts" "Conversation" "Call" "View" "Tools" and "Help".
THIS is where you click on Tools.
Then, in the pop-up menu, click on Options.
Next click the button that is labelled "Calls".
Finally, click on Voice Messages.
Now you should have a screen with three colored buttons on it--one green and two red.
Click the middle button to record your message. Begin recording AFTER the beep.
When you are finished recording, press the middle button again to stop recording.
Give the system some time to process your recording (I believe one minute should be long enough for even the slowest system).
Then press the green button to hear the message you recorded. If not happy with message, re-record using the middle button again.
Hope this helps!!!
