cant sign in username and password correct

I cant sign in to skype and my username and password are correct and my speed is also 2mbps

What happens when you try to signin?  What are the actual symptoms?

when i put in my username and password it comes up with skype can not connect

i know the password and username are correct i write them down also my internet is fine as well

if any knows away of solving this problem that would be much apressiated

What version of Windows are you running?  XP? Vista?  Win7/8?

What anti-virus / firewall are you using?
