Video calls between Windows and Mac

I havae windows, my friend has a Mac.  My friend gets clear video pic of me.

I only hear my friend's voice - no picture.  How do we correct this?

What do you see when you're on the video call?

Does your friend see his own video in his picture-in-picture?

Some Macs with other than Intel processors can not seem to make full use of the SKYPE software. I have a client that has some Macs and it is a problem for them. Their Mac service guy has not been able to fix the issue.
