RAM usage

yeah yeah you probably say that there is such question in topic about RAM usage.

but i did not found some usable explanation for this.

can you tell the people why skype using so much RAM???

OK, i understand it is 21 century, powerful machines for powerful programs.

but come on - lets be serious.

in my case skype use 100MB RAM in idle - that's just stupid!!!

it is not like i am do not have enough RAM. but still.

me system spec:
OS: Microsoft Windows 7 (6.1) Ultimate Edition Service Pack 1 (Build 7601) 64bit
DirectX Version: 11.0
Processor: Intel Core i5 2500K @ 3.30GHz
RAM: Kingston HyperX Blue 2x4GB DDR3 1333MHz
Mainboard: Gigabyte P67A-UD3-B3
Video Card: Sapphire HD 6850 1GB
HDD:Western Digital CAVIAR BLACK 1TB 7200RPM 64MB
Power Supply: 750W Chieftec CFT-750-14CS
Case: Xigmatek Asgard

skype v5.5.0.124

my personal explanation about RAM usege is that powerful pc hold up skype network around your neighborhood

so if you have old pc, skype do not use much of memory.

in my case machine is pretty powerful so skype is using my as local server for him self...

some one wants prove otherwise - you can try!!!
