Just started and have noticed I need a port connection. I can't get on line with skype. Any ideas?

Can anyone provide the IP's and ports required for connecting skype. Need this info for allowing the ports and IP in the cisco firewall

it is not possible to provide list of IP addresses for outgoing Skype connections -- many firewalls provide a way to authorize the application if outgoing connections are restricted
normally it is not required, but you CAN forward your 'Skype' port to the correct private IP on your LAN
that port is randomly selected by the Skype installer, but once selected, it remains constant -- you can change it manually after the fact if you wish
you can find that port number by clicking Tools|Options|Advanced|Connection
each computer on your LAN should be configured use a different port for incoming connections, which implies multiple port forwards
there are, however, a number of other reasons why you may be having trouble connecting to the Skype network
