I purchased Platinum Service on the understanding that it would permit video conferencing with multiple parties. I contacted 3 of my family members only to discover that I could only see one of them and hear the other two.
There are using the most up-to-date version of Skype.
Why the problem and what needs to be done to rectify???
Thank-you ... Tony

I believe you mean Premium, rather than Platinum, right?
Here are a couple of things you can do to improve the chances of a successful group video call:
1) Make sure everyone really has the latest version of Skype, 5.9.0.114. Don't accept any other way of checking besides clicking on Help > About Skype to see what specific version is installed. If anyone doesn't have v5.9.0.114, they can update via this link:
http://www.skype.com/go/getskype-full
2) Start the call as a group call, rather than starting a one-to-one call and then adding other contacts. Select all cotnacts to be on the group and then click Video call.
3) After taking those steps, if you still don't a particpants video, ask them to stop turn off their webcam for a few seconds and then turn it back on.
My experience with group video is it's getting better but it's still not perfect, but those steps have helped me have successful group video calls.

Indeed ... Premium, not Platinum ... sorry about that.
I have confirmed that all of my party are operating on at least V 5.0. I will have then try out the video suggestion that you offered. Can't hurt.
Dissapointed as working away from home I was really banking on this option to keep in touch with the family.
Again, many thanks .... Tony

Let me reiterate that group video has improved since it first appeared in v5. In fact, I think it's become better in every release. Thus my suggestion that everyone you want to be on a group call have the latest version, not just the minimum requirement version.
Having said that...good luck. I use Skype to keep in touch with family and I hope it works for you. ![]()
