Other side don't see me after couple of minute

Hi there

I skype a lot with my dad back in Holland.(I am living in FLorida)
But after a couple of minute, my dad doesn't see me anymore, just some block and purple.
This only happen when I skype with my dad, if I skype with other friends there is no problem.
What can be the problem, please help me
Because this is the only way my dad can see his grandchildren.

What type device are you and your dad using?  Mac?  Windows?  Mobile?

Does your dad have the same problem with other contacts or only with you?

We both using Windows.
And my dad only skype with me, and nobody else

You and dad should each click on Help > About Skype to see the specific version you have installed.  The latest, as of today, is v5.9.0.115.  If that's not what you have installed, you should both update via this link:

http://www.skype.com/go/getskype-full

If the problem persists once Skype is up-to-date, next time you're on a call with Dad, click on Call > Call Technical Info.  Copy and past the results here.  That may point to where the problem lies.

Thanks for this information, next time when i am on skype with him, wil do this and post it here.
Can take awhile because my dad is 73 and not that technish lol
