Other person can't see me

I can see the other person but they can't see me. Checked webcam and that appears ok. Any suggetsions?

had the same problem. I uninstalled Skype and then downloaded version 5.5.0.124 and now everything works again. You can download this version from the link below.

Skype support has been unresponsive. Very disappointed because it seems many people have run into this problem.

ruwim -- I'm having a similar issue. However my problem is slightly different and it's going across two different platforms.

I'm on Windows and my friend is on Mac. We both have the most updated version of Skype 5.8.0.

I can see her video and my video shows up on my screen as well but she cannot see it on her end. Appears to be only with us since we skype with other people regularly.

Any suggestions other than uninstalling and reinstalling?

I have both Face TIme and Skype on my computer.  When I chat on Face TIme I can see the person I am talking to and they can see me.  When I chat on Skype the person that I am calling can not see me but I can see myself.   When I go into preferences on Skpe the drop down says Face Time.  How do I change that to Skype

I have both Face Time and Skype.  I can see person on both face time and skype: however the person I call on Face time can see me but the person I call on skype cannot see me.

Tried to go to Preferences and the pull down says Face Time I am not able to change that to skype

Im trying to skype someone but all i see is a black screen and no audio, on both ends. messaging is working, we both have the latest version of skype installed. Any tips? thanks
