This has been going on for a while now. I will be online on skype and I will see my friends also online but to them I am offline. It randomly lets them type to me because it says I have come online but messages sent while it says IM offline do not even come through. This has happened with Skype 5.8 and now it's also happening with skype 5.9. I have deleted skype[5.8] and also all of the registry entries and then installed the newest version of skype[5.9] and it still does it. I also downloaded skype version [5.5] and it still does it. Could this be a service that's disabled or a port in the firewall or maybe an exception that's not there? I have no idea what it could be, if anybody has a solution or something I could try that would be great. Thanks
