I have downloaded Skype to Windows 7 and every time I click the icon, there is no option to sign in. All I get is the Skype background screen and 3 options at the top on the menu bar. The options are: Skype, Tools, and Help. None of these options take me to a sign-in screen. Please advise as soon as possible. Is there something that I'm missing when downloading or is it a Google Chrome compatibility problem??

Please, answer first these questions:
Is your Windows 32-bit or 64-bit?
What is the version of Internet Explorer installed on your computer?
In Internet Explorer go to Help -> About Internet Explorer.
P.S. Please, don’t say that you are not using Internet Explorer. This is irrelevant. Skype depends on Internet Explorer.
Press WinKey + R to open the Run window
WinKey (the button is located between the left Ctrl and Alt with the Windows logo)
Type: iexplore.exe and press Enter
