I was using video early this morning, but this afternoon when I opened skype the error listed below popped up and video is no longer working. I tried reinstalling Skype with no changes. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated as I am overseas and use skype to talk with my children. Thank you very much.

Error:
C:\Windows\system32\olepro32.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact system administrator or the software vendor for support.

Probably the olepro32.dll file is corrupted. Try to install VB6 Redistribution Pack. This might correct the corrupted file.

I'm also getting the same message in video chatting as "angelbaby655", that says something else may be using my video. Any thoughts on whether these are related?
Thanks.

I don’t know. Might be. If the webcam drivers are using Visual Basic modules and the olepro32.dll is corrupted, then this may be the case.

Didn't work, the error came up and blocked the fix. Not sure where to go from here. Thanks for the option, if anyone has any other suggestions, fire away.

Are you saying that you got the olepro32.dll error on installation of the VB6 redistributable or when you start your video? Have you rebooted your computer?
What Windows system are you on?

Yes, I received the same olepro32 error when installing VB6. I'm currently running Windows Vista, which didn't match up against the "requirements" for VB6. I also tried serching Microsoft for olepro32 and got VB5 picclp but that doesn't seem helpful either.

On your computer open the folder specified in the error message. Right click on the olepro32.dll file and select Properties and then the Details tab. What File version is reported there?

I doesn't show a file version, just type (Application Extension), Size (86.5kb), and the date modified (4/11/2009).

You need to click on the Details tab. Do you have the latest Service Pack forVistainstalled?
