Need to stop "Skype Home" from loading

Recently I updated my Skpe to Version 5.5.0.113 and now have the "Skype Home" window loading every time on start up.  I am running Windows 7 32 bit.  I have compatibility mode DISABLED.  This new "feature" is very annoying and is NOT a product improvement, but a big step backwards.  Please suggest some work around to stop the Skype Home from loading/popping up at start.

Going to Get Skype --> Windows does not give me options for download, rather simply downloads the latest version automatically. If I don't find a solution to stop this annoying Skype Home window by today's end of day, I will uninstall Skype and cancel subscription. I've been looking for an excuse to migrate Google Voice anyway.

I have a similiar problem but it pops up every night around 4 AM I don't know if I am getting disconnected from skype or what but it's a bit annoying for skype to be doing that and I have checked to see if there is a beta version and I do not see one I would like this fixed asap cause it's very annoying when I wake up in the morning and find out the home page is there. Also this has happens a random time I just found out it's not cause I get disconnected it just pops up on it's own when I stay connected to skype for a long period of time. And another thing I don't want to hear an excuse saying you can't add this feature to it yes you can as you can see there is tons of people on this thread that are unhappy customers and this is not right for this to happen developers should add this feature so take in consideration for your customers that's all I have to say now.

It's rediculous it should be able to be disabled, clearly people don't want it loading when skype opens, I know it annoys the hell out of me might have to stick with MSN I think if this can't be turned off

I just have installed the last version (5.5.0.113) but sky home at startup is still there.

Despiete lot of people adviced nothing has been changed.

FRUSTRATING how skype considers the own users and hearstheir voices.

I guess we will have to turn them in to the BBB for treating there users like this. Also if I worked with Skype my first priority would be to add this feature in a heartbeat cause I care about the users. So yeah that's if I worked with Skype.

Completley agree. I have seen many other threads people asking for the same thing. Very anoying that everytime skype loads the large home window loads as well. I never use it and just find it very annoying. aweful. please add an option so we can stop that. I know it existed before but they have taken it out in the latest version.

I have to add my voice to this "bug" too as having Skype Home displayed each time my PC starts with Skype is very very annoying.

There needs to be an setting in Options to stop Skype Home from being displayed.
