My skype kept stopped responding during voice calls

My skype kept stopped responding during voice calls, please help, many thanks. 

I tried to install the beta version but still doesnt work (http://skype.com/go/getskype-beta)

Does the problem still persist after a Windows reboot? Do you use any USB audio devices or webcams? You might want to try unplugging those temporarily.

The OP of this thread had exactly the same error message (Exception code: 0xc0000005 and Fault offset: 0x00000200).

In his an also another similar case, the problem was related to a virus. Avast was not able to detect this virus but Panda Cloud did, and the issue was resolved.
