Hi, Now that microsoft owns skype, I updated it thinking it would be good. BUT when I updated my skype is now F***ed up, and When I click "Sign me in" It just brings me to a F***ed up HTML page at "file:///C:/ProgramData/Skype/Apps/login/" from what ever is my default browser. So I uninstalled the crap and reinstalled it, NOW ITS A INSTALLER ERROR(Error 273
, which somewhat installed a running skype, BUT I STILL GET THE SAME HTML PAGE!! Microsoft or who ever now is causing me to miss important chats dealing with school, and friends. Please help me or fix your **bleep** error.

This is a very common issue. You may wish to see this and many other similar threads.

The solution may depend on your Windows version and version of Internet Explorer installed on your computer.
The 2738 error indicates that vbscript.dll is not properly installed on your computer. Sometimes this problem can be fixed by applying the fix provided in this Microsoft article:
support.microsoft.com/kb/949140
The “C:\ProgramData\Skype\Apps\login” syndrome is caused by some settings in Internet Explorer and Windows Scripting (jscript.dll). Several users have resolved this problem by un-installing/re-installing/upgrading their IE installation.
