Managing Contact list

Is there any means of changing the order in which the contacts appear in the list? Dragging and dropping at first appears to be the technique but on dropping, nothing happens, unless one drops outside the list area ( by mistake) and then the contact becomes deleted.

On my mac I have the option of selecting "all online" which will display my skype and facebook contacts into 1 list. Is there a way of doing this in Windows? as I do not like having a tab for my FB contacts and a Tab for my Skype contacts, I prefer them to be displayed in 1 list.
