Don't start Skype.
Click Start >> Run >> Type "eventvwr.msc /s" (Without the quotes)
Custom Views >> Administrative Events
Look for any error message related to Skype crash.
Post it.

What you are seeing is the so-called Blue Screen of Death (BSOD). As a rule, this is caused by a conflict with some system devices.
Right after you have rebooted your computer, open Windows Event Viewer and look for any recent error messages.
In order to open Event Viewer, right click on the Computer (or My Computer) icon and select Manage.
