Install SKYPE on 3rd computer using same account : HOW TO DO THIS?

I was forced to create a NEW account but I actually need to access the same CONTACTS as in the original account I set up long time ago.  I'm using Skype on laptop 1, iPhone and now a I would like to use it on an old laptop running XP that I'll take when vacationing rather then risk the good computer for being damaged or stolen. Creating a different ID will add confusion for my contacts when calling.

Any idea to solve this puzzle?

After installling skype run Skype and log in with your data.

Note: You will need your password to re-log on, and re-set any options from default. Also note that it will may ask you to do a new account, If so Click cancel and logged on with old cridentials, all OK.

Your solution does not address the problem of downloading a shortcut icon on the desktop.  I have this same problem and simply logging in with my old credentials does not work.  Do you have a solution that does work?

you can simply download the full installer (link below) to skip the registering requirement.

After installing Skype in the desired computer, just login using your original login details.
