Have you actually read any of the posts in this thread and about 250 other threads dealing with the same issue as yours?

It will be most effective if you start a new, your own topic and provide all the necessary information about your system.

This is not working for me!  I have gone through the steps two times now and have completely deleted skype and then re-installed it.  Still I am getting this "index of file" message and cannot log in???  HELP!

The problem is with your Internet Explorer and JavaScript.

Please, answer first these questions:

What version of Windows are you on? Is it 32-bit or 64-bit?

What is the version of Internet Explorer installed on your computer?

In Internet Explorer go to Help -> About Internet Explorer.

P.S. Please, don’t say that you are not using Internet Explorer. This is irrelevant. Skype depends on Internet Explorer.

So I have followed all steps, windows 7 64 bit, IE 9, javascript is working according to Mr. Ed's but still no skype.

What exactly happens when you are trying to login in Skype?

It was just a blank login screen, but I fixed it I removed IE9 from my pc restarted and IE8 made skype fully operational again. Some bug in the update for IE9 apparently

This is insane!!!!! This is not something anyone can easily comprehend!  Why is skype not letting me sign in !!!! I will post on this forum to every freaking answer you provide .. The same problem is happening.. This is unacceptable .. The suggestions you are giving are useless!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
