I got a prompt reply to my problem but it did no good. My problem is that I can't sign in to Skype and use it for CallPhones or any other service. I was told to change my password by getting a Password Token. I did that and was told that my password was changed. I tried sign in and, as usual, I was taken to the awful Index of file:///CrogramData/Skype...page from which there is absolutely no way to sign in and thus make a call of any type.
I don't see anyone else having this particular problem. I know that I'm current (my account page shows that I have money in my account) The closest I get to getting into the system is the Accounts Page, but I do NOT see any way to get out of that page and into a page that will let me use my account. This is terrible frustration. I'm a missionary in Mexico and Skype is the only way we have of making phone calls. Thank you so much.
Have you actually read any of the posts in this thread and about 250 other threads dealing with the same issue as yours?
It will be most effective if you start a new, your own topic and provide all the necessary information about your system.
This is not working for me! I have gone through the steps two times now and have completely deleted skype and then re-installed it. Still I am getting this "index of file" message and cannot log in??? HELP!
can someone explain in more detail i couldent really understand the step involved in the 'login' problem
Please, answer first these questions:
What version of Windows are you on? Is it 32-bit or 64-bit?
What is the version of Internet Explorer installed on your computer?
In Internet Explorer go to Help -> About Internet Explorer.
P.S. Please, don’t say that you are not using Internet Explorer. This is irrelevant. Skype depends on Internet Explorer.
What exactly happens when you are trying to login in Skype?
It was just a blank login screen, but I fixed it I removed IE9 from my pc restarted and IE8 made skype fully operational again. Some bug in the update for IE9 apparently
