How do I get the skype icon on my desktop. Where is it??

Nice that someone explained this. I hope you are right. I see advertising to add everything under the sun, but not way to access the basic thing. There should be some easy way to have it on the tool bar provided instantly. I shouldn't have to search for hours to figure it out. I am really mad about this.

skype support is almost nonexistent and rarely understandable. Get rid of the engineers and hire knowledgeable people. Put the engineers in the lab in order to develope something new and/or improved.

I know the feeling. Often you wonder if skype is really worth the trouble. Support is so celestral that it would be better off in a foreign language. Least you culd translate it via google.

Redbrit69: glad you figured it out...what did you do after you downloaded the program again? Was it the SkypeSetup icon you were trying to get on your desktop? I got that one on my desktop but I'll have to install it again to get to the login window to make calls, so I was trying to get the login icon to bypass the installation, is it possible? Or does everyone have to re-install for each use?

I also have Win7; it has been so frustrating trying to figure out how to work Skype since I'm first time user. First it took me a while to figure out that I can access my account on Skype but still have to download again to install Skype to make voice calls or calls after I shut off my computer, and then I figured out to save the SkypeSetup icon on my desktop but not the login window after the installation and it took me another hour to figure out how to pin the login window on my task bar, so now I won't have to download again to make calls...woo hoo! The trick is to download and when you get to the login window, don't sign in just close it then it'll show on your task bar, it'll disappear after you shut down your computer but if you right click it you will get the option to pin it to your task bar then voila it'll be there everytime you open your internet explorer. Hope this helps!
