Help Needed - desperately

I have been using Skype for many years.  Now in the last 25 hours, I can sign into my Account - but I CANNOT use skype.  As soon as I sign into the skyping area - it automatically logs me out.  I do not even get a chance to make an attempt at skype to skype user call.  However, my other account which has credit, does NOT log me out instantly.  Is this a new Microsoft attempt at making Skype users take credti upfront BEFORE they can ever use their Skype calls again ??  Has anyone else had this same problem.  How do I get Skype to assist me - I need to use my account

Re: Help Needed - desperately

Try to reset all Skype settings.

Quit Skype or use Windows Task Manager to kill any Skype.exe process. Go to Windows Start and in the Search/Run box type %appdata% and then press Enter or click the OK button. The Windows File Explorer will pop up. There locate a folder named “Skype”. Rename this folder to something different, e.g. Skype_old.

If you are on the latest Skype 6.5/6.6/6.7/6.9/6.10/6.11 version, then do also this:

Go to Windows Start and in the Search/Run box type %temp%\skype and then press Enter or click the OK button. Delete the DbTemp folder.

Restart Skype.

N.B. If needed, you will still be able to re-establish your call and chat history. All data is still saved in the Skype_old folder.
