Google Chrome and Skype add-on

So, after several days of frustration it turns out that the flurry of Chrome warning messages about a missing add-on can be traced to a bad previous upgrade of Skype "Click-to-call" feature.

Google Chrome is the third most popular web browser with millions of users. Why didn't Skype properly test their software release using Skype/Chrome combination? I know they've been taken over by Microsoft, but to fail to properly test against a ubiquitous browser seems just petty to me if not negligent.

Thanks SupraUberOverLord;

So Skype posted the notice a la Hitchhiker's Guide,"yes I did. It was on display in the bottom of a locked filing cabinet stuck in a disused lavatory with a sign on the door saying "Beware of The Leopard""

Re: Google Chrome and Skype add-on

I also have this problem.

I also want to get rid of all highlighted Skype contact and phone numbers on my websites everywhere. From what I understand this has come with one of the upgrades. Does anyone know how I can get them removed again? Is it a case of re-installing and older version. Is this possible and what version do I need to install?

Re: Google Chrome and Skype add-on

Hello,

I believe that I have posted here before.  Last year for Christmas I got a Chromebook.  I love it!  In fact I'm on it right now,  Shortly before I recieved the Chromebook I got myself an account with Skype.  I am wanting to know when, or if Skype is planning on lauching a web app for Chromebook users?

Thanks for your time.
