Full screen video does not show the full video on windows 7.

While making video calls from skype if I do full screen it does not show the full video of the person I am calling. Skype strips some part of the video and it happens every time.

I am running skype on windows 7 with screen resolution 1600x900.

I want the person video fit to my screen instead of striping it. Is there any way I can make this changes in skype settings?

Try to delete the config.xml file used by skype.

Quit Skype.
Go to Windows Start and in the Search/Run box type %appdata%\skype, press Enter.
Open the folder with the name of your Skype account. You will find there a config.xml file. Delete this file.
Re-run Skype.

Note: You will need your password to re-log on, and re-set any options from default

No, it didn't worked. I deleted the config.xml file and restarted the Skype but no help

What is the version of Skype program you are on now?

I am using latest (5.10.0.16X) version of Skype.

I think Skype by default expanding the video in the ratio (same resolution ratio) of the actual recived video. I need some setting that it will do a fit to screen instead of the same.

Do you nVidia graphics card installed on your computer?

Yes, its a Dell laptop with NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 550M 1GB graphics with Optimus installed.

Try to update your graphics card driver

After installation check the 3D settings in nVidia control panel

I tried but the problem remains as it is.

I updated the nvidia drives and start the skype with nvidia graphics processor but no use

what is the resolution of the received video stream?

(see Call Technical Info under Call command during video call)

if you receive 640x480 or 320x240, the you will have to scroll the FS window vertically using your mouse pointer to see the entire frame
