What version of Windows are you running, including 32 bit or 64 bit?
Click on Start and type winver.exe in the the search/run box for the version number.
Go to Control Panel > System for 32 vs. 64 bit.
What version of Internet Explorer are you running? Click on Internet Options about IE for the version number. Note: This is necessary even if you don't use IE as your primary browser.

Ok. Follow these steps created by fellow user ruwim to correct your problem:
Go to Windows Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> Right click on Command Prompt, select 'Run as administrator'.
The Command Prompt window should show:
C:\Windows\SysWoW64>
If what you are seeing is:
C:\Windows\System32>
then in the Command Prompt type: cd.. (2 dots are important) and press Enter.
Now you should see this in the Command Prompt:
C:\Windows>
Next type cd syswow64 and press Enter.
Now you should see this in the Command Prompt:
C:\Windows\SysWoW64>
Type this and then press Enter:
regsvr32 jscript.dll
Next type this and press Enter:
regsvr32 jscript9.dll
After each Enter you should receive a message saying that DllRegisterServer in XXX.dll succeeded.
Reboot your computer.
Make now the test showing if your Internet Explorer can execute JavaScript.
Open in your Internet Explorer (no other browser but only IE 32-bit version) this page:
http://www.mistered.us/test/alert.shtml
Click on the “Simply Click This Button” button and watch the response.
