I use skype on multiple devices, mobile, windows laptop, linux desktop. An annoying problem I am having is whenever I log into skype on another device, after logging off the other one, I can not do any IM chatting until after the last messages all download from my last chat. This is very annoying because if my last IM conversation was long, it can be 15 or 20 minutrs before it all downloads. I will also not get any messages from anyone until after this. I will still be visible online and can see others, but no messages get sent or received until the old ones download. I do not remember this happening before but I have recently started IMing on skype more.

Its very annoying. I also experience this problem, and it makes it so that mobile Skype is nearly useless because it kills the iPhone's battery trying to process all that information, and I usually am able to get home before it finishes!

ditto - I have Iphone, laptop, and desktop. I try to stay only on one, but if I leave the office, take Iphone, and sign in on road, same issue. Annoying to the extreme, but I anticipate now more so I usually leave them all signed in, and listen to multiple IM beeps going off in my office when an IM comes in.

I thought it was because I am using an old unsupported version of Skype on a windows mobile phone, but I guess that might not be the case. I was hoping when I soon get a new phone I wont have the issue. Seems to happen on my Linux version of Skype at home also, but not the latest windows version. The mobile version is the worst though becuase my phone is unusable until everything slowly finishes, and sometimes it locks up the phone and I need to pull the battery.
