I experience the fault again with each and every message sent to a Facebook contact with the latest Skype version 220.127.116.11
I'm not a fan of complaining, but this is frankly ridiculous. Microsoft is deliberately ignoring huge usability issues. This is not the only example
Actually the issue kind of changed for me. I reported before that the problem was gone (and it was), and this is what I experience now:
Instead of duplicating messages, now Skype shows a warning under every message I send ("Your friend is now offline. They may not have received this message") along the "sending" icon next to timestamps (if you hover over the icon, it'll display "Not delivered yet.").
The contact is clearly online -- they show up as such in Facebook and even in Skype -- and the message is actually sent (it appears in Facebook chat history).
I'm using the most recent version too, 18.104.22.168. Well, at least this new problem is less annoying than the first one. Far from ideal, though.

1) Enable the viewing of hidden files and folders in Windows;
2) I accessed the folder c: \ Users \ meu_user \ AppData \ Roaming \ Skype \ meu_user_skype.
3) I renamed the "config.xml" file (which stores the settings of your skype account on that machine) to "config_old.xml". This requires Skype to create, the next login, a new configuration file automatically.
